Under each answer you get the formula and the steps, which helps when you need to check the maths or explain it to someone else.
We add new calculators every week. Each one has its own page with a plain explanation, a worked example and answers to the questions people ask most.
Frequently asked questions
Are these calculators really free?
Yes. Every calculator here is free to use as often as you like. There is no signup, no email box to fill in and no limit on how many answers you work out. They are part of the free tools that CloveDesk makes for freelancers and small teams.
Is anything I type saved or sent anywhere?
No. The maths runs in your own browser, and nothing you enter is saved or sent to us. If you press Copy link, your numbers go into that link after the # sign, a part of a web address that browsers never send to a server. Close the tab and the numbers are gone.
Can I share an answer with someone?
Yes. Press Copy link under any answer. The link holds the numbers you entered, so the other person opens the same calculator with the same answer already showing. Press Copy result to paste the answer itself into a message or a note.
How do I know the answer is right?
Each calculator shows the formula it used and the steps it took, so you can follow the maths yourself. Every page also walks through a worked example with real numbers, and our tests check that the calculator gives exactly that answer.
