Is CloveDesk a CRM for photographers?+
It covers the client side of a photography CRM: quotes, contracts, releases, invoices, files and costs, organized by client. It doesn’t have a lead pipeline, booking calendar or questionnaires, so many photographers pair it with a scheduling or gallery tool.
Can I deliver photos through CloveDesk?+
Yes, within your plan’s limits: files up to 10 MB on the trial, 50 MB on Basic and 500 MB on Pro, with 100 MB, 1 GB and 10 GB of storage. Your client sees each photo in a file list with Download and Comments buttons. It isn’t a gallery tool, so there are no image previews, favorites, selections or print sales.
Can I keep the final photos private until the balance is paid?+
Yes. Set new uploads to hidden, and nothing appears in your client’s portal. When the balance arrives, mark the invoice paid, make the files visible, and press Notify client to email them. CloveDesk doesn’t release files automatically, so the timing is always yours.
Can models or venues sign releases?+
Yes. On paid plans, Universal E-Sign sends any PDF to anyone through a private link, including people who aren’t your client. It comes back signed with an audit trail.
Can I take a retainer and then a balance?+
Yes. Send the retainer invoice and the balance invoice separately, each with its own due date and a Pay button using your own payment link.
Can clients book a session time?+
No. CloveDesk has no booking calendar, so take bookings the way you do now and start the paperwork in CloveDesk.
Do my clients need an account?+
No. They open a private link from your email and can sign on a phone. No account, no password.
Can I track costs like a second shooter or prints?+
Yes. Log expenses against the project in the currency you paid, and see the shoot’s revenue and costs together. Paid plans add your own expense categories.
