A client portal is a private, branded space where your client sees everything about their project in one place. Some people call it a customer portal or a client dashboard. CloveDesk gives each client their own workspace, so quotes, documents, files and invoices stop living in scattered email threads.
Is there a free client portal?+
You can start with a 30-day free trial, no credit card needed. The trial isn’t a plan you can stay on, so after it you choose Basic or Pro to keep working.
How does client portal login work?+
Clients don’t create accounts. They open the secure link from your email and land straight in their portal. You can send a fresh link any time.
Do my clients pay anything?+
No. Clients never pay for CloveDesk and never need an account.
Can clients pay invoices in the portal?+
Clients view and accept invoices in the portal, and a Pay button takes them to your own payment link (PayPal, Stripe, Wise and similar). The payment happens outside CloveDesk, and you mark the invoice paid once the money arrives. There’s no transaction fee from us.
Is CloveDesk a white-label client portal?+
CloveDesk is a branded client portal. Your logo, colors and business details appear throughout on paid plans, which also remove the Powered by CloveDesk mark. The portal runs on a CloveDesk address, and custom domains aren’t available.
Is my clients’ data secure?+
Every client sees only their own workspace. Data is stored on GDPR-compliant Cloudflare servers and backed up every day. Clients get in only through their secure link, and signed documents carry an audit trail.
Can my team share an account?+
Not today. CloveDesk works with one person managing the account, so it suits freelancers and small businesses where one person handles the client side.
What happens when my trial ends?+
If you don’t move to a paid plan, your account is locked and your data stays read-only for a limited time so you can download what you need. After that it’s deleted. The terms of service give the exact timings.
